Oxford, only 30 mins from us, revolves around its prestigious university, established in the 12th century. The architecture of its 38 colleges in the city’s medieval centre led poet Matthew Arnold to nickname it the 'City of Dreaming Spires'. With numerous libraries, museums, botanical gardens and other beautiful old buildings to look around you'll never get tired of things to do. If you're brave enough you can hire a punt to take down the river or if you're not the outdoors type, why not enjoy high tea in the famous Randolph hotel?

 

London Marylebone is accessible via our local train station Haddenham and Thame Parkway which is only 10 min drive from us. In one day you could visit the capital and enjoy the buzz of the city then come home to the tranquillity and peace of the farm, a perfect weekend getaway.
